Arts for All Gallery

The city of Atlanta is home to a multitude of fine art galleries. Located in the historic Healy Building in downtown Atlanta’s Fairlie-Poplar district, one will find a very unique gallery by the name of “Arts for All Gallery”. “Arts for All Gallery” is dedicated to exhibiting artists of merit with disabilities and/or low income. “Arts for All Gallery” is a program of VSA Arts of Georgia, a statewide resource that works with artists and organizations to encourage everyone to enjoy and participate in the arts.

In addition to paintings, “Arts for All Gallery” displays photography, textile art, sculptures, and other visual fine arts done within the parameters of their mission. The gallery hosts five exhibits and a Holiday Art Sale each year. It is open to the public Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m. and admission is always free. If you can’t make it during normal business hours, a public reception with light refreshments is held on the first Thursday of each month, (excluding January & July), from 5:00 p.m. — 8:00 p.m.

One visit to this gallery and patrons quickly become aware that the works on display maybe created by artists with various disabilities; however their “disability” does not hold them back from creating exceptional art! The gallery also provides Braille exhibition pamphlets, as well as audio descriptions of selected works of art.
