Revisiting Peachtree Creek

Contrasting images of natural beauty with unsightliness resulting from urban development and neglect of our treasured natural resources is what photographer and urban explorer Dave Kaufman came across on his trip down Peachtree Creek in a canoe.

Images of what Kaufman captured on his numerous trips down Peachtree Creek over the past 13 years are on display in a special exhibit at Fernbank Museum of Natural History and parlayed into a unique coffee table book which includes the stories of sites, people, and places important to Atlanta History. Peachtree Creek: A Natural and Unnatural History of Atlanta’s Watershed, by Dave Kaufman is published by Hillstreet Press in conjunction with the Atlanta History Center.
